Battle of the Bridge

American Trust Bank is proud to announce that it will host a tailgating themed fundraising event on Thursday, August 28th, the day before Lenoir City High School and Loudon High School square off at the annual Battle of the Bridge Football Game.  The fundraiser will help the Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County.  The event will be held at the Bank’s Lenoir City office at 256 Medical Park Drive and will last from 4:00pm – 7:00pm.

Battle of the Bridge Trophy“Last year, I had the honor of creating a new trophy for the Battle of the Bridge, and I wanted to do something big this year to help with the event,” stated John Evans, Vice President of American Trust Bank.  “I spoke to our Branch Manager, Sandra Watts, and she came up with the idea of hosting a fundraising event that would include a cookout, a silent auction and a dunking booth.”

“Once we contacted the two high schools, everything started moving quickly,” said Sandra Watts, Assistant VP and Branch Manager of American Trust Bank’s Lenoir City Office. “Each principal has volunteered to be in the dunking booth, and we will have one coach from each school volunteer to be in the dunking booth.”

Bean Bags LCA “one of a kind” Corn Hole set will be auctioned off at the event.  The two boards were created by John Evans and will be designed by both high schools.  The corn bags were custom made by Sandra Watts and represent both schools.  This silent auction will start August 14th, and people can place their bid at the Bank’s Lenoir City office.  The winner will be announced at the end of the tailgating fundraiser.

In addition to the silent auction, people can donate either canned good items or $5, and receive a tailgate dinner, complete with hot dogs, chili and other side items.
